Change of equipment nomenclature

Off-Highway Research has changed the terms used to refer to certain products in its databases to bring them into line with more common conventions.

Previously our data referred to rough terrain lift trucks (RTLTs), which were divided into masted and telescopic variants. Telescopic RTLTs are now referred to as Telescopic Handlers, which is a much more common and easily understandable term. RTLTs – Masted are now referred to as Masted Rough Terrain Lift Trucks.

We have also changed the term Asphalt Finishers and replaced it with Asphalt Pavers, which again, we believe is a more commonly used and better understood term.

These changes will be reflected in our reports over time as they are updated.
